Here is my schedule for Fall 2004. I am teaching at both NCSU and at Louisburg College. In addition to taking German 401 I will also be doing Differential Geometry as an independent study and will be working with Dr. Semazzi on his weather model. So I am in fact taking more than the one class listed on my schedule here. Also keep in mind that there is significant commute time between Louisburg and Raleigh. If you are one of my students and you need to make an appointment to meet, you should probably consider a Tuesday, as that's the only day that I can be on campus all day. If you are my mother, please don't call me while I'm in class. *grin*

Math Resources for Everyone

If you have just about any type of math question, you can find an answer at Mathworld. It's like the CRC math tables book, except that the descriptions are much more readable, the site is searchable, and it has more low-level stuff that's of use to the average person. Wonderful explanations! So if you want to know what a Witch of Agnesi is, just go put that into the search box and you'll find out!

Math Jokes: humor for the geek in your soul

The Princess and AP is a fairy tale that almost anyone can enjoy, but you'll be falling out of your chair laughing if you've taken any calculus. Make sure you read all the names aloud, it'll help, trust me!

Buy an ACME Klein Bottle, or at least read the website for the entertainment value. Yes, he does really sell these! My father bought me a glass klein bottle for my 20th birthday. Back then I was an undergraduate, so it wasn't warranted against my dropping and breaking it. But now that I'm a grad student the warranty is valid. Whee!

NCSU Math 141 Section 14 Fall 2004

Once I have syllabi and calendars made up for my other fall classes I will post them here, but I'm a slacker and haven't made them yet.
